MOVIE MAKERS

Work on both sides of the camera and gain hands-on experience in the many aspects of video production. Actor, director or videographer . . . try on all these hats and see which one fits best!

Class projects will be posted online so you can share them with your friends and watch them any time you want.

Do you enjoy big musical numbers and working with an ensemble of energetic actors, singers and dancers? This course is designed for students who have experience in this style of theatre and want to take on bigger challenges in voice, acting, and choreography.

An adventure in imagination and pure fun, with stories to captivate and stimulate, costumes to try on, and lots of moving, acting, and dramatic play. Kids encounter the world of theatre while growing in confidence and cooperation skills.

Advanced actor training and performance of a scripted play. Do you already have a strong foundation in acting skills, and are ready to LEVEL UP? ON STAGE! is the class for you. Advance your skills in improvisation and voice training while rehearsing a scripted play and bringing a character to life with a final performance in Richardson Hall! Prerequisite: minimum 20 weeks of any mix of MTYP classes

DRAMA VENTURES AGES 3 & 4

An adventure for children ages 3 & 4 and their caregivers Watch your child’s natural love of stories blossom, along with their confidence and group skills. In this course, adults participate with their children in various forms of imaginative play, songs, and stories.

Experience the thrill and freedom of creating theatre without a script. Learn how to quickly develop characters and take scenes to their comic potential. This lively and entertaining class is a great way to experience the creative teamwork that makes theatre happen. No experience is necessary: just an active imagination and a sense of adventure.

I CAN PRETEND! Ages 5-8

I Can Pretend! teaches children with autism how to play with peers and form relationships.

Let's make the biggest pizza in the world! Your children will laugh, learn and rejoice in the power of dramatic play. Teacher-led Improvisation, short scenes, story theatre, dress-up, puppets and crafts will nurture creativity and assist children in developing imaginative play and social skills. Listening and sharing will be the main focus of this class.

45 Minutes | This course takes place on Sundays at 12:00 pm for 8 weeks

I CAN PRETEND TOO! Ages 9-13

I Can Pretend! teaches children with autism how to play with peers and form relationships.

Let's go to the moon and watch out for that flying meteor! In addition to the skills covered in our fun-filled I Can Pretend! class (ages 5 - 8), we will use puppets, dress-up, storytelling and improvised play to challenge our imaginations and problem solve together. This course focuses on cooperation and teamwork.
