The Little Opera Company presents the Canadian première of Jake Heggie’s melodious and dramatic Three Decembers. Experience the joys and sorrows of a famous stage actress and her two adult children during three Decembers across several decades.
Jake Heggie (Dead Man Walking, Moby Dick among others) is “arguably the world’s most popular 21st century opera and art song composer.” (The Wall Street Journal) “…Heggie’s way with music, the way in which his choices unlock the intensity of the poetry and drama of the words, is consistently illuminating, full of surprises” (Gramophone Magazine)

Health and Safety
While proof of vaccination is no longer required to attend a performance of Three Decembers, MTYP does require all staff – including volunteers – to be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19.
Staff and volunteer ushers will also be wearing masks while at MTYP. All patrons Patrons are strongly recommended to wear a protective mask at all times while at our venue for Three Decembers, including the duration of the performance

In alignment with current public health orders, proof of vaccination is not required to attend a performance of Three Decembers. Please be aware that we continue to require our staff and artists – including volunteers – to be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19. We also continue to require the wearing of masks by MTYP staff and volunteers; performers will be maskless. We strongly recommend and will encourage everyone attending to also wear a mask at all times while at MTYP’s venue for these shows, including during the duration of the performance.
